We are getting through the last of the weeks of winter but we still need our furnaces, especially during cool nights. Not much is worse than laying down at night just to find out your furnace won’t kick on. If this happens to you, here are a few things you can check yourself before calling All American Air Service Experts.
Check Air Filters
You should swap out standard air filters monthly. If you fail to do so, they can end up clogged, blocking air flow and causing your furnace to malfunction.
Check Your Thermostat
Start by turning the thermostat up a few degrees to get the furnace to turn on. If the current room temperature is higher than the thermostat, the furnace won’t run. Also, make sure the system switch is on “heat” or “auto.”
Check the Power
It may seem obvious, but confirm the power switch next to the heating equipment is “On.” Even gas furnaces use electricity so make sure the breaker has not tripped and that the power switch wasn’t accidently switched to the “Off” position.
If you check all these things and your heating equipment will still not turn on, give All American Air Service Experts a call at 386-310-2061 and we’ll come out and take care of you as soon as possible.
