What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

All American Air Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a couple of the most typical A/C problems in Daytona Beach.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your A/C equipment running but there isn’t cool air blowing, you could need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your system is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your AC system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

One reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it just burned out and you require a replacement. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so a second issue to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is obstructed. If you can verify these matters, you may be able to discover the issue; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we forget the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is dirty, it could cause huge cooling issues. Another thing that could cause your insufficient cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and do an analysis to determine if the size of your unit is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and needs cleaning. Once the unit is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be good to go. Keep in mind that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm up again, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your issue, whatever AC trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
